The club includes activities like, Technical workshops, Quiz, Career awareness sessions, placement preparation, coding competitions, and latest innovations in engineering. The club includes activities like, NEWS Headlines, Poster making (Creative and social awareness) and articles.

Visit to Old Age Home, Chaksu, Jaipur

  • As a part of the subject, Human Values I Year RTU syllabus, the purpose of this visit was to inculcate in the students the values of empathy and compassion, i.e. –the capacity to feel what it is to live in somebody else’s skin and feel their pain; and develop an understanding of the shortcomings of the society we live in.
  • On 25 th October 2018, a group of about 34 students accompanied by three Coordinators of the Helping Hands (PIET) and two faculty members – Mr. Rajpal Singh and Dr. Anurika Mehta, visited the Shri Ram Old Age Home. Mr. Kailash, the manager of the home informed that there were 30 inmates in the home and he explained in detail about the background, establishment and management of the old age home
  • A delicious lunch of Rajasthan's traditional cuisines Daal, Baati and Churma was prepared there which was sponsored by all the students, coordinators and faculties enjoyed it in the company of the inmates of the old age home
  • Outcomes & Learning-This visit was a huge learning experience for the young citizens and after spending four valuable hours, the students vowed to do something for senior citizens and contribute towards the betterment of their condition.

Slum Area Visit “Naya Savera, Jaipur”

  • This line became much stronger by visiting a NGO, “NAYA SAVERA” which is an overall community development program related to children of slum area. Naya Sawera is a non-governmental organization that aims at working towards providing a healthy, nurtured and nourished lifestyle to people who are deprived of facilities due to poverty and a lack of opportunities.
  • To strengthen this feeling and to sensitize today's youth, a group of 36 students of I Year, Civil Engineering, Poornima Institute of Engineering and Technology visited “Naya Savera” located at Jhalana Industrial Area, Malviya Nagar, Jaipur on Friday, November 16, 2018 accompanied by two faculty members; Dr. Sama Jain and Mr. Ashok Kumar.
  • As a gesture of humility, some snacks and study materials like copies, pencils, erasers etc. were gifted to the children of Naya Sawera. All were very happy to receive the gifts sponsored by PIET
  • Outcome & Learning-This visit gave the learning that, 'One should be happy with what one has'. So, everyone should take an initiative to help children like them because they are the future of our country. And they also have the potential to prove themselves.

NATIONAL SPORTS DAY CELEBRATION REPORT
(August 29, 2018)

  • For the celebration of National Sports Day, Department had organized sports activity like volley ball and basket ball at 2:30-3:30 PM.
  • Section wise teams were invited for both basket ball & volleyball. The day was celebrated in high spirits and the students were happy & cheerful about the event.
  • Team of Section D (CS Branch); with players Shashank Tak , Ritik Ujjwal and Praveen Kumar Jangir; was declared the winner of basket ball match.

  • “YANTRAM” (research & project club) is organized a fun & technical event “TECHNO- STROM” on 26th November,2018 For First year students. The competitions held in following categories:
