ABOUT THE COLLEGE

PIET, a premier institution in engineering education established in the academic year 2007, is affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University and approved by AICTE. PIET aims at providing world class technical and scientific education which can develop a professional outlook in every walk of life. With the efforts of the entire stakeholders including management, departments, faculty members and students, PIET has ranked 3rd among all the affiliated colleges of Rajasthan Technical University and NAAC accredited also. Two of its departments (Department of Computer Engineering and Department of Civil Engineering) have been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), India for its contribution towards quality education. We have been rated Platinum by AICTE-CII survey for 2020. Some key salient features are: • State of Art of Infrastructure for innovative Teaching Pedagogy and ICT based learning. • Offering four streams of Engineering (CSE, AI & DS and Civil) at UG level. • Accredited with NBA for B.Tech CSE 2020. • Accredited with NBA for B.Tech Civil in 2019. • NAAC Accredited institute from 2019. • Rated as GOLD in Survey of Industry Linked Technical Institutes conducted by AICTE-CII. • Ranked 3rd among all RTU affiliated colleges in Quality Index Value (QIV) assessment in academic year 2020-21 • Notable funding received from various Government and Private bodies (AICTE, RTU, IIHT, IMPACT, ZEETRON NETWORKS)

PIET is the first and only institute of Rajasthan to establish AICTE sponsored IDEA Lab with a Funding of Rs. 55 lakh.

Institute is 1st one to offer B. Tech. CSE in the Regional Language under the NEP.

About the Department

Department of First Year is the founding department of PIET, established in 2007 with the mission of imparting quality teaching and promoting implementation of practical aspects of Applied Science to build a solid foundation as part of the Engineering education. The department provides a strong footing to the students in first year of the engineering where students get acquainted with wide range of basic science and technical subjects and gets hands on experience on various instruments. This inculcates confidence and makes them ready for the task ahead by developing their logical and analytical skills, which will help them to prosper further in their career.

ABOUT THE Symposium

ISHDT -2022 aimed at developing a shared vision of holistic, human education, particularly in institutions of higher education. The purpose of the education system is to develop good human beings capable of rational thought and action, possessing compassion and empathy, courage and resilience, scientific temper and creative imagination, with sound ethical moorings and values. It aims at producing engaged, productive, and contributing citizens for building an equitable, inclusive, and pluralistic society as envisaged by our Constitution. To start with the scope is within India and other nations. The purpose of the Symposium is: * To develop the requirements for holistic, human education. * To develop the guidelines, content and process (methodology) for imparting universal human values in higher education. * To discuss and elaborate on efforts to be made for implementing universal human values, particularly in higher education.
