Hod's Message

Welcome to the department of Electrical Engineering, PIET, Jaipur.
Department of Electrical Engineering was set up in the year 2007. The main focus areas of the department are mainly

  • Academics
  • Placement
  • Research and Development -Department Club / Alumni Portal

The main focus of the department is on highlighting both the academic and Non-Academic activities of the department. In the beginning of the semester, a need analysis was prepared based on the academic and non academic results of the students, their feedback requirement as well as based on interaction with the Faculty members. It basically includes both curricular and extra-curricular activities with proper time and date, when the activity is planned. Main Importance is given to quality teaching and learning process through Faculty development program and soft skills programmers for students. More and More students are involved in these activities right from planning to execution and care is taken that same students are not repeated in the process.

Our 7 students secured merits in RTU examinations since 2012 onwards among 146 engineering colleges in state affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University, Kota.

The Department has been able to achieve recognition for outstanding contribution for academic excellence is given to our department by Indian Society of Lightening Engineers (ISLE).High emphasis is given on beyond syllabus activities to bridge the gaps between curriculum and industries.Since the focus of the Electrical Department is on development of Innovative projects, and research paper publications, it has all been possible with sustained efforts of both the faculty and students together. The department is also running two clubs namely Energy club and Gate club. This acts as morale booster for weaker students too.

At the beginning of this new century, the discipline is poised to continue making important contributions to key issues facing society in areas such as energy, health, computing, networked communications, environmental monitoring, and information security.

In addition, our faculty members and students are engaged in collaborative efforts with industry and other universities to address research issues of national importance. Further, I wish all the success to all faculties and staff members of the department and pray for their achievements in incorporating the attributes in students to make them able to compete against the best in the world.
