Activities

Literary Club is a place where students can meet to read and write. The Literary Club has been an ongoing and active club for several years. It is based upon using the creativity skills it takes to be a writer. Club members meet to discuss books and the craft of writing.. This club is formed on 10 July, 2018
Students will get a platform to show their potential in technical and non-technical fields. Various technical and non-technical events will enhance the skills of students. Learning sessions will provide students a better platform to learn something new excluding academics which are important for future aspects of their career and lots more.

Technical Club work on various innovative projects which will bestow creative minds thinking patterns to the upcoming future engineer/scientist so that our mind can boost enough so that we can face any hurdles in the way of learning new tactics to deal with ever changing or dynamic technology. Also we hope, it is our soul duty to work on those projects which will make our institute technically advanced and prepare our country well enough to compete with other established high tech countries & also the emerging countries which are technically very sound. We are technically far behind in compare to those technically advanced countries. Devotion to our work, motivating and inspiring the young and creative minds in the direction of technology. The Eco-Green Club in each college will be made up of teachers and a group of motivated students to learn about the environment and to take action to improve their immediate environment. They will also provide a wonderful opportunity to help generate awareness, build attitudes and enable students to take up activities in the real world, in a way that the constraints of the classroom and curriculum won’t allow. Any motivated teacher from the college could become the coordinator for the Eco-Green Club. Training Sessions will be carried out in LGAs for teachers and students on how to set the clubs up. A written guide to setting up and running the clubs will be provided for the interested colleges. The guide will illustrate clearly how an Eco-Green club can be initiated in the college, how many students should ideally be in the club and what kind of activities and projects can be undertaken by the club. This guide will help the Eco club coordinator in the colleges to systematically and successfully run the club and reach out to the community. Colleges will also regularly attend the training conducted by the National Eco-Green Club Board. Reporting Colleges committed to the initiative are expected to come up with an annual plan for their Club. Teachers who attend Eco-Green Club training are given an Eco-Green club evaluation check list sheet, this will be filled in by colleges and used for monitoring and evaluation. Awards will be given to encourage the club members.

REPORT ON PLC/SCADA WORKSHOP (21th April. 2017) For Workshop based on “Solar Photovoltaic”

Objective: The objective of the workshop is to known about role and importance of Renewable Energy Sources especially Solar Energy which have been increasing significantly in recent times with the growing concern for the state and Country’s energy demand. Due to countries growth in infrastructure, developments, reducing availability and increasing prices of conventional energy sources have shifted focus on alternate energy sources, especially Solar Energy which is abundant across the country.

Feedback from Students: Students experienced a special hands on practice learning session through which they got a better insight into tracking of solar system. The content delivery was as per the needs of every student along with the huge interaction. Students feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to attend this because the workshop not only introduced the concepts of C system programming. Overall the workshop has been overall productive.

Content Relevant: The Session gave full hands-on in Solar PV Design and Development. Outcome: The Department of Electrical Engineering of Poornima institute of Engineering & technology, Jaipur has organized 2 day workshop on “solar photovoltaic” on 04-05 Feb 2016 with the aim to provide hands on practice to the students Total 44 students have participated in this workshop .The inaugural address was delivered by Mr. K.R.Prajapat , HOD, (Department Electrical Engineering).

Report on Robotics workshop

The event was held for the students of Second year and Third year of Electrical Engineering Department. It was held to make students aware about the Robotics and the benefits of carrier in it. They were informed about robotics field. These technologies are used to develop machines that can substitute for humans and replicate human actions. Robots can be used in any situation and for any purpose, but today many are used in dangerous environments (including bomb detection and de-activation), manufacturing processes, or where humans cannot survive. Information about the robotics in much greater detail was passed on to students.

This helped them understand more deeply what robotics is and how they can shape their studies to form a carrier in the same.

These technologies are used to develop machines that can substitute for humans. Robots can be used in any situation and for any purpose, but today many are used in dangerous environments (including bomb detection and de-activation), manufacturing processes, or where humans cannot survive. Robots can take on any form but some are made to resemble humans in appearance. This is said to help in the acceptance of a robot in certain replicative behaviors usually performed by people. Such robots attempt to replicate walking, lifting, speech, cognition, and basically anything a human can do. Many of today's robots are inspired by nature, contributing to the field of bio-inspired robotics.

LEARNING OUTCOMES..

  • Students will gain an appreciation of the effort needed in construction and have a sense of achievement with something they have made.
  • Students are encouraged to try their hand at assembling and modeling of Robots.
  • This is a creative approach to the learning of science through real life exposure, mechanical innovation and simultaneously promotes to do hands on projects on Robots.

PLACEMENT CLUB

EE Department provides carrier guidance and placement facilities to the under graduate. The cell is dedicated to advise the students on career options, personality development, and communication skill and project guidance. In campus / off campus interviews are arranged. The other services provided by the cell include resume writing / screening, mock Interviews & specialized career / employment preparation workshops. Several students have already been placed in multinational companies like TCS, CTS, Infosys, Wipro, HCL, Hexaware, US Technology.

The Placement Cell plays a crucial role in locating job opportunities for Under Graduates. The Placement Cell operates round the year to facilitate contacts between companies and graduates. The number of students placed through the campus interviews is continuously rising. On invitation, many reputed industries visit the institute to conduct interviews.

We have been successful in maintaining our high placement statistics over the years and the fact that our students bear the recession blues with record breaking placements itself is a testimony to our quality. Our ingenious alumnae have set new standards in the corporate world through their estimable contributions and it is my firm conviction that we will continue that legacy in the years to come.
